Bpifrance, through its France Investissement Energie Environnement 2 (FIEE 2) fund, is acquiring a stake in Solen (Solution Logistique en Environnement), a company based in the Eure-et-Marne region of France that specializes in the design, sale and rental of waste compaction equipment.
The operation enables the independent leader in the waste compaction market to strengthen its leadership in France and to develop its European presence, particularly in Spain and Portugal, through internal and external growth. This legal reorganization of the group has led to the departure of a long-standing minority shareholder in favor of Bpifrance.
As a reminder, in 2022 Solen gained a foothold in French industrial manufacturing with the acquisition of ECP Group. The company, which employs around 60 people and has a turnover of 16 million euros, now intends to tackle the European market with the ambition of becoming one of the main players in Southwest Europe.
