As part of the development of its high-performance microprocessor, French start-up SiPearl has announced a €90 million Series A financing from ARM, the world leader in semiconductor design, the Atos group (via its Eviden branch), the European Innovation Council (EIC) fund and the French government via the French Tech Souveraineté fund, operated by Bpifrance as part of France 2030. This financing includes up to €25M of convertible debt from the European Investment Bank (EIB).
Launched in 2020, the company is financially supported by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 program. In 2021, it has been awarded the Accelerator program of the European Innovation Council for a total amount of €17.5M. The deeptech company hopes to raise at least €150 million by the end of the year in order to commercialize its microprocessor in 2024.
