Entalpic has announced a €8.5 million seed financing round, led by Breega, Cathay Innovation and Felicis, with contributions and advice from Jörg Weiser (ex-Managing Director at Schrödinger), Gilles Wainrib (co-founder of Owkin), Thomas Wolfe (CSO and co-founder of Hugging Face), Arnaud Robert (ex-C-level at Sanofi), Michal Valko (Principal LLama Engineer at Meta, ex-Deepmind) and Yoshua Bengio (Turing Award winner, founder and scientific director of the Mila Institute).
The start-up, a pioneer in generative AI applied to the discovery of materials for the chemical industry accelerated by 21st by CentraleSupélec, is the fruit of a collaboration between researchers at Mila, the world’s leading research laboratory specializing in machine learning for climate action, and a former executive at Owkin, a unicorn renowned for its use of AI applied to drug discovery.
Drawing on this expertise, Entalpic intends to reinvent the discovery of materials and molecules for a more sustainable future.
Jérémie Swiecznik, partner at Degroux Brugère, advised Breega and Cathay Innovation on this transaction.
