Carbon Maps is a SaaS environmental accounting platform for the food industry, whose ambition is improving the environmental footprint in this sector by collecting and analyzing data, using scientific models, at all stages of the food chain, from farmers to consumers.
Its services will be all the more essential as of January 1, 2024, when the Eco-score, indicating the environmental footprint of a product, will have to be present on all foods.
This €4 million seed round from Breega and Samaipata funds will allow the young startup, created in 2022, to accelerate the development of its algorithm, which will be able to help manufacturers meet the regulations and also to expand on the European market.
Through this operation, Carbon Maps aims to become the reference environmental accounting platform for all players in the food chain, enabling them to build sustainable progress trajectories.
